PVR NEST—short for Network of Enablement & Social Transformation—is the dedicated CSR trust of PVR INOX Ltd., pioneering India’s first cinema-linked charitable platform since its establishment in 2006. Its mandate is aligned with key UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), notably SDG‑1, 4, 5, 6, 11, and 17, and focuses on women and children from underserved and urban slum communities.
PVR NEST works through public–private partnerships with municipal bodies, NGOs, and civic actors to transform public spaces, enable sanitation infrastructure, and drive community upliftment. Its interventions encompass safe sanitation, health access, digital safety, education, and gender equity.
🌱 Key CSR Programs & Initiatives
🏢 1. Pink Centres & Pink Toilets
Launched in partnership with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, these women-exclusive sanitation hubs are located in 20 sites across Delhi, supporting over 500,000 users.
Beyond sanitation, they offer grooming, changing, breastfeeding amenities, menstrual hygiene access, and serve as safe rest spaces.
The initiative trains sanitation staff—now recognized as WASH Champions—enhancing dignity and community identity.
🧒 2. Garima Grih / Variant Safe Spaces
A multi-utility infrastructure model for women and children in urban slums, combining sanitation, health access, and skill-building. The first edition launched at Jawahar Camp, Kirti Nagar in collaboration with MCD.
👩💼 3. Garima Shakti & Power of One Cohort
PVR NEST partnered with Reckitt and VFS Global in 2023–24 to train community women leaders in urban slums.
Over 500 women received skill-based training to launch micro-enterprises and influence broader cohorts of 5,000 women as future changemakers ([turn0search11], [turn0search9]).
🧒 4. CiSS Childscape (Children at Risk)
Co-implemented with the Delhi Government and Salaam Baalak Trust, this program engages street and vulnerable children with rehabilitation, education, healthcare, and enrollment in welfare schemes.
📱 5. SOS Child Online Safety Initiative
PVR NEST collaborated with Save Missing Girls and CyberPeace Foundation to launch the #SOS campaign.
Exclusive Public Service Announcements (PSA) screened across 1,000+ cinema screens nationwide, complemented by 24/7 online child safety helplines/desk accessible via SMS (#60030, #60040), focusing on online abuse awareness and support.
🍽️ 6. Feeding Program & Child Nutrition
Under the “Childscape Children at Risk” umbrella, PVR operates weekly feeding programs at its Pink & Garima centres, improving child nutrition for vulnerable populations—a revival of its pandemic-era efforts.
♻️ 7. COVID-19 Relief & Social Response
During the pandemic, PVR organized free vaccination camps for film staff and dependents, supported emergency relief without a predefined budget, and launched a tribute music video in support of healthcare workers via the PVR leadership.
