Established in 2012, Amar Ujala Foundation (AUF) serves as the CSR arm of Amar Ujala Limited—a leading Hindi-language daily with a deeply rooted readership across North India. The foundation centers its work around empowerment, education, environment, health, and social recognition, operating through the trusted media identity of the parent brand and reaching underserved communities across Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and Chandigarh.

1. Girl‑Child Education & Scholarships


  • Runs the Atul Maheshwari Scholarship, providing annual scholarships (up to ₹50,000 per year for three years) to academically meritorious students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds for classes 9–12.

  • Through its “Aparajita – 100 Million Smiles” initiative, works to eliminate gender disparities and empower urban and rural girls through education, civic workshops, and community recognition.
